어느 날, 비와 눈은 동시에 내리고 있었다. 나는 공책에 낙서를 했다. 게을러진 나는 침실에서 KES 방송국의 라디오를 켰다. 그것을 통해 Zoink의 한 화랑에서의 공연에 대한 밝은 얘기를 들었다.
One day, it was raining and snowing at the same time. I scribbled in my notebook. Being lazy, I turned on the radio of the KES station in my bedroom. Through that, I heard a bright story about Zoink’s performance at a gallery.
A hopeful collection of electronic music by the exceptionally talented Korean skater/artist, Yoonkee Kim.
Created primarily using hardware electronic instruments, including his beloved Roland TR-707 and KORG volca series, the pop-infused, friendly yet somewhat quirky sound will gently caress your eardrums, changing its expression like light reflecting on a still water surface.
From ambient melodies to the freaky growls of analog synthesizers and subtly arranged rhythm tracks, the sounds paint a vibrant picture, like splashes of colorful paint on a white canvas.
Born in South Korea in 1980, he studied piano from a young age and developed a deep appreciation for music. In his teens, he began making music after discovering punk, grunge, and hip-hop. In 2004, his groundbreaking lo-fi home-recorded dub album “Asian Zombie,” created during his time in the UK, was released by Japan’s Uutwo Records, bringing his talent to public attention. He subsequently moved his base of operations to South Korea and continued to release works prolifically. In parallel with his music production, he also creates art pieces such as drawings and paintings, and has held numerous exhibitions at galleries in Seoul.
He continues to create something new every day, as naturally as breathing.

tachyon, who began making beats on his own in the late summer of 2023, has spent a year honing his skills, creating an aggressive yet pop beat that has significantly expanded his expressive worldview.

This is the first EP by tachyon, the beat-making moniker of singer-songwriter Tomoe Takizawa, and rapper MC Birukaze.
tachyon began self-taught beat-making in late summer 2023 while working solo as singer-songwriter Tomoe Takizawa. In less than a year since then, with her fresh sensibility and passion, she has produced a plethora of uniquely styled beats that combine coolness and catchiness, aggressiveness and friendliness. Each beat is filled with the joy of making music, captivating listeners.

A jazz album has been released, produced in a cross-border collaboration between Aoki Satoru, a bassist known for his improvisations using the prepared bass, and Yoonkee Kim, an artist active in Seoul, Korea! Aoki Satoru’s freaky, hard-edged prepared bass and Yoonkee Kim’s free-spirited drums and cornet create a one-of-a-kind groove! Distant yet intimate, cold yet warm, tension yet relaxation, chaos yet harmony, the flood of improvisation, changing expression with every note, will transport the listener to a faraway place. Come experience this thrilling yet carefree session! It’s sure to be a new musical experience.
He lives in Edogawa Ward, Tokyo. He started playing folk guitar in sixth grade. He formed a punk band in high school. He has been performing at Tokyo live music venues since he was 20.
After playing in rock and soul bands, he discovered acid jazz and studied jazz at Roots Music Academy.
He became a recluse for ten years from 2000, but continued playing bass solo. He began improvising in 2011. He started playing Prepared Bass in 2016, “wanting to be alone.” He released a Prepared Bass album every year at Comic Market in December of the same year. Since then, he has collaborated with overseas musicians at his invitation (despite wanting to be alone), and has found joy in the joy of doing so.
In 2019, he participated in a compilation album by Xtelyon Records (Austria). In 2021, a collaboration album with Seth Andrew Davis will be released by Mother Brain Records.
