小学六年の時にフォークギターを始める
高校生の時にパンクバンドを結成
二十歳のころから東京のライブハウスで活動
ロックバンド、ソウルバンドを経て
アシッドジャズに出会い
ルーツ音楽院でジャズを学ぶ
2000年より十年間ひきこもるも Bass は単独で続ける
2011年に即興演奏を始める
2016年＂独りになりたくて＂Prepared Bass を始める
同年12月のコミックマーケットで毎年 Prepared Bass のアルバムをリリース
その後、（独りになりたかったのに）誘われるままに海外の音楽家と
コラボレーションを重ね喜びをおぼえる
2019年 Xtelyon Records（オーストリア）のコンピレーション・アルバムに参加
2021年 Mother Brain Records より Seth Andrew Davis さんとの
コラボレーションアルバムがリリースされる
A jazz album has been released, produced in a cross-border collaboration between Aoki Satoru, a bassist known for his improvisations using the prepared bass, and Yoonkee Kim, an artist active in Seoul, Korea!
Aoki Satoru’s freaky, hard-edged prepared bass and Yoonkee Kim’s free-spirited drums and cornet create a one-of-a-kind groove!

He lives in Edogawa Ward, Tokyo.
He started playing folk guitar in sixth grade.
He formed a punk band in high school.
He has been performing at Tokyo live music venues since he was 20.
After playing in rock and soul bands, he discovered acid jazz and studied jazz at Roots Music Academy.
He became a recluse for ten years from 2000, but continued playing bass solo.
He began improvising in 2011.
He started playing Prepared Bass in 2016, “wanting to be alone.”
He released a Prepared Bass album every year at Comic Market in December of the same year.
Since then, he has collaborated with overseas musicians at his invitation (despite wanting to be alone), and has found joy in the joy of doing so.
In 2019, he participated in a compilation album by Xtelyon Records (Austria).
In 2021, a collaboration album with Seth Andrew Davis will be released by Mother Brain Records.
