The new single “FIVE” by tachyon + MC Birukaze, the unit formed by singer-songwriter Tomoe Takizawa’s avant-garde/electronic form and rapper MC Birukaze, will be released on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, via the label SATURDAY LAB on various subscription services and bandcamp!
Celebrating nearly a year since their formation, the unit tachyon + MC Birukaze’s new single “FIVE” features MC Birukaze’s rap soaring over tachyon’s beats, which seem to circle and soar high into the sky.
tachyon, who began making beats on his own in the late summer of 2023, has spent a year honing his skills, creating an aggressive yet pop beat that has significantly expanded his expressive worldview.
Recording, mixing, and mastering were handled by LEXUZ YEN (OGGYWEST / Die, No Ties, Fly).

This is the first EP by tachyon, the beat-making moniker of singer-songwriter Tomoe Takizawa, and rapper MC Birukaze.
tachyon began self-taught beat-making in late summer 2023 while working solo as singer-songwriter Tomoe Takizawa. In less than a year since then, with her fresh sensibility and passion, she has produced a plethora of uniquely styled beats that combine coolness and catchiness, aggressiveness and friendliness. Each beat is filled with the joy of making music, captivating listeners.
The MC Birukaze lyrics, soaring over his one-of-a-kind tachyon beat, are filled with clear lyricism and a sense of humor that’s sure to bring smiles to the faces of people of all ages. The tight groove and rhyming of his raps further demonstrate his undeniable skills as a rapper.
This album, crafted by these two talented and original artists, goes beyond the hip-hop genre to encompass a colorful and varied rainbow road, encompassing instrumentals with a cool post-rock vibe, heart-warming summer tunes, driving dancehall reggae tunes, floor-shaking EDM bangers, and even catchy steelo pop tunes that rock people of all ages.
